Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TradeTrust, a product of Invent Adenos Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By using TradeTrust you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. What TradeTrust does
TradeTrust is an escrow and buyer-protection layer for social commerce in Nigeria. When a buyer pays through a TradeTrust checkout link, funds are held in a protected state until the buyer confirms delivery. Only then are funds released to the seller.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Nigeria to use TradeTrust. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Seller obligations
- You must accurately describe every product or service you sell through TradeTrust.
- You must fulfil orders within the dispatch timeline stated on your checkout link.
- You must respond to buyer disputes within 24 hours of notification.
- You must not create checkout links for prohibited items (see Section 7).
- You are solely responsible for the products and services you sell.
4. Buyer obligations
- You must confirm or dispute delivery within 7 days of the marked delivery date. After 7 days, funds are automatically released to the seller.
- You must not file false disputes. Abuse of the dispute system may result in account suspension.
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
5. Fees
TradeTrust charges a buyer-side protection fee of 1.5% of the product amount (minimum ₦150) added at checkout. Sellers pay a platform fee of 2.5% of the product amount, deducted from payouts. Fees are displayed clearly before payment is processed. We reserve the right to update fees with 14 days' notice.
6. Payouts
Payouts are processed within 3–5 business days of buyer delivery confirmation or automatic release. TradeTrust does not guarantee same-day payouts. Payouts may be delayed for compliance review.
7. Prohibited items
You may not use TradeTrust to sell:
- Illegal goods or services under Nigerian law
- Counterfeit or replica branded products
- Weapons, ammunition, or explosive materials
- Narcotics, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
- Pornographic or adult content
- Financial instruments or investment schemes
- Any product that violates third-party intellectual property rights
8. Account suspension and termination
TradeTrust may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, have excessive dispute or refund rates, or pose a risk to buyers or the platform. Funds in suspended accounts are subject to a compliance hold period.
9. Limitation of liability
TradeTrust acts as a facilitator and does not endorse any seller or product. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items sold. Our total liability to any user is limited to the fees paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Disputes between buyers and sellers
TradeTrust's dispute resolution decisions are final within the platform. We are not a court of law, and our decisions do not prevent either party from pursuing legal remedies independently.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of TradeTrust after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
